  1. District Horticulture Officer Group-2, Grade-1
    • Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with a specialization in Agriculture or Horticulture from any recognized university in India.
  2. Principal Govt. Food Science Training Center / Food Processing Officer Group-2
    • Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with Chemistry or Agriculture as a subject, or a Master’s Degree in Fruit and Vegetable, or an M.Sc Degree in Food Technology or Food Preservation.
  3. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Agronomy Branch)
    • Eligibility: Master’s Degree in a related subject from any recognized university in India.
  4. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Botany Branch)
  5. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Plant Protection)
  6. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Chemistry Branch)
  7. Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Development Branch)

How to apply for the UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam 2024:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has opened applications for the Uttar Pradesh Combined State Agriculture Service Examination 2024. Interested candidates can apply online from April 10, 2024, to May 10, 2024.

Please note the following steps to apply:

  1. One Time Registration (OTR): It is compulsory to complete the OTR for UPPSC Recruitment. Please be aware that the registration number is only received after 72 hours of OTR registration. Therefore, complete the OTR first before proceeding with the application.
  2. Read the Notification: Before applying, make sure to read the recruitment notification for the Agriculture Service Pre 2024.
  3. Check and Collect All Documents: Ensure you have all the necessary documents – eligibility proof, ID proof, address details, and basic details.

UPPSC Agriculture Services Selection Process:

Interested candidates for the UPPSC Agricultural Service Recruitment 2024 will need to undergo a selection process to validate their eligibility for the applied position. This process includes a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview.

  1. Preliminary Examination: The first step is the preliminary exam, which is an objective-type MCQ test worth 300 marks.
  2. Main Examination: Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will then take the main exam, which consists of broad written-type questions and is also worth 300 marks.
  3. Interview: Only Group A candidates will participate in the interview process.

UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for the preliminary and main examinations of the UPPSC Agriculture Service Exam 2024 is as follows:

Preliminary Exam Pattern: The preliminary exam paper is an objective-type MCQ test. It includes two subjects: General Studies and Agriculture, with a total of 120 questions worth 300 marks. Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the paper.

  • General Studies: 40 questions, 100 marks
  • Agriculture: 80 questions, 200 marks
  • Total: 120 questions, 300 marks

Main Exam Pattern: The main exam paper is based on broad questions. All candidates must take the General Hindi and Essay paper. Paper 2 will be an optional subject.

  • General Hindi & Essay: 100 marks, 2 hours
  • Optional Subject: 200 marks, 3 hours
